Em's BEEFS

Insane Clown Posse / Twiztid

This rivalry is said to be longer than any of Eminem's other disputes. It is said to have begun sometime during 1995. Apparently, Marshall was handing out flyers to a party where he would be performing and on the flyers it mentioned that there might be an appearance by the Insane Clown Posse (ICP). This is mentioned in ICP's latest diss to Eminem, Nothing But A Bitch Thang: "I remember yo ass at St. Andrews hall handing out yo flyers, 'come one come all come to my show'. I looked at it WHAT right there, Insane Clown Posse might show up. What the fuck kind of rapper could be that lame, only way you draw people is to use our name, I could have just fucked you up right there, but I let it pass, I felt bad for ya bitch ass." One of the members of ICP saw this and told Em to Fuck Off. This must have started the whole rivalry and since then both parties have exchanged disses back and forth in their songs. A little background on the crew. The Insane Clown Posse is made up of two members, Joseph Bruce aka Violent J and Joseph Ulster aka Shaggy 2 Dope. This duo originated in South West Detroit. It began as a gang called the "Inner City Posse" (ICP) and originated into a rap group called the "Insane Clown Posse." They have released five albums to date and are in the process of finishing up their sixth. Since the little fight at St. Andrew's hall, many rumours have been going around. Apparently, Eminem saw ICP at a club one night, and he and the D-12 (The Dirty Dozen) chased them out and then shot their van up with a paintball gun. This is briefly mentioned in Nothing But A Bitch Thang, when ICP denies it: "you ain't never chased us out of no club bitch... only club you ever chased anybody out of was a gay bar bitch." After Eminem made this embarassing night public in his lyrics, ICP, with the help of Twiztid, released a remix of Eminem popular hit My Name Is, from the Slim Shady LP, called Slim Anus, over the radio during their interview with Howard Stern: [Interview Part 1] [Interview Part 2]. Eminem was said to have cried over this, but we're sure that's just a rumour made up by some ICP "juggalo" (fan). In Eminem's new cd, The Marshall Mathers LP, he seems to get a lot harder on the ICP. He answers back with even more severe and obvious lyrics. For instance, in track 11, Marshall Mathers, he says "I think I was put here to annoy the world and destroy your little 4-year-old boy or girl. Plus I was put here to put fear in faggots who spray Faygo Root Beer and call themselves "Clowns" cause they look queer. Faggot 2 Dope and Silent Gay, Claimin Detroit, when y'all live twenty miles away (fuckin punks). And I don't wrestle, I'll knock you fuckin faggots the fuck out, Ask 'em about the club they was at when they snuck out after they ducked out the back when they saw us and bugged out, (AHHH!) Ducked down and got paintballs shot at they're truck, blaow! Look at y'all runnin your mouth again, when you ain't seen a fuckin Mile Road, South of 10. And I don't need help, from D-12, to beat up two females in make-up, who may try to scratch me with Lee Nails. "Slim Anus," you damn right, Slim Anus, cause I don't get fucked in mine like you two little flaming faggots". Also, there is a skit in The Marshall Mathers LP called Ken Kaniff, track 12, where Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope are sucking Ken Kaniffs dick. Take a listen, its funny as hell. As mentioned, Insane Clown Posse's latest Eminem diss is entitled Nothing But A Bitch Thang, and it is not just a remix of one of Eminem's songs like Slim Anus was, it is actually original. They were going to release on the album but decided not to because they were "worried that Eminem would have fallen off the map by then, and people wouldn't get the joke."

Everlast aka Whitey Ford

One of the newest beefs that Eminem has dragged himself into involves former House Of Pain member Erik Schrody aka Whitey Ford. He began as part of Ice T's L.A.-based Rhyme Syndicate Cartel, made 1990's Forever Everlasting album, then left to form House Of Pain with Danny O'Connor and Limp Bizkits Leor Dimant [DJ Lethal]. Five years later, Schrody releases Whitey Ford Sings The Blues under the name of Everlast. In one of Eminem's disses towards Everlast, Quitter he explains how the whole beef began. "...I'ma tell these motherfucking fans the truth, the reason why you dissed me first and I answered you. You said I passed you in the lobby and I glanced at you like I ain't noticed you, bitch I had a show to do. Like I'm supposed to be start struck, come over to you, you better shut your mouth while you 0 for 2...". Whatever the reason was that kicked off this beef between the two artists, it sprung into several different songs. After Everlast was insulted by the disrespect Eminem presented towards him, he decided to lash out at him. His first diss is found in the song Ear Drums Pop by Dilated Peoples feat. Everlast. In one part of the song, Everlast mentions that "... I buck a three eighty on ones that act shady, You know you ain't the one that repped peckerwood status," adding, "let's take it back to the House/ Slide off your blouse/ Lift up your skirt/ And expose your panties/ For the world to see/ You can't rep it like me.". Eminem was currently on the Anger Management Tour when he was notified of Everlasts' insult. Obviously pissed off, Eminem decided to hit back at him with a song called I Remember which was released on the B-Side of D-12's Shit On You Single. In this song Em hits far below the belt with comments on low-points in Everlast's career ["Back in '94/ Like right before Miss Everlast was Whitey Ford/ when House Of Pain was out of fame/ destined to never jump around again"], his age ["Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit came along/ Now nobody wants to hear your old ass sing no more"] and even his heart troubles ["I was right there laughing when I heard the news/ I just wish the cardiac would have murdered you"]. Em actually censored himself in one line, singing, "I wasn't trying to steal your light or nothin'/ But you're a homosexual white rappin' Irish..." offering a "beep" over what may have originally been a swipe at Everlast's conversion to Islam. In the song, Em seems to suggest that he was once a fan of Everlast, singing, "I went to get your s**t/ Man, I was into it/ But then you went and took your style and switched the s**t/ Now you sound ridiculous." Everlast did not seem to offended by this song according to his record label, Tommy Boy Records. A statement issued by the label on behalf of Everlast said, "He is amused. He thinks that the song is quite funny." However, Whitey Ford chose to continue the ongoing lyrical battle, answering I Remember with a diss of his own entitled Whitey's Revenge which emerged through Napster. Everlast pulls no punches on the slow-grooving track, using the intro to dedicate the song to Eminems mother. In the song, Everlast asks "Will the real Slim Shady please act up?" and suggests both rappers drop their mics and make their battle a physical one. He then goes on to question Eminems sexuality and to accuse him of being an "Ecstasy junkie." Everlast also taunts Eminem for his high-profile troubles with his Kim, rapping, "You better check your kid for DNA." Everlast also accuses the rapper of being a mainstream sellout and a fake gangster on the track. Obviously Eminem was not about to let Everlast get the last word. Within a couple of weeks Em had finished a song featuring The Dirty Dozen entitled Quitter. However, this song was not meant to be released, as said by Em " I don't even want to give him any more press. I wish him the best with his career and his heart. If I put it out I don't want to be arrested for murder 'cause he'll have another heart attack." But, somehow it managed to leak into the Napster sharing community and was on every single Eminem fan's computer within a couple of days. In this song Eminem even asks his fans to physically attack Everlast, "Hit him with sticks, bricks, rocks, throw shit at him, trip him, spit on him, treat him like a ho, bitch slap him. Do it for me, do it for Fred, do it for Limp, do it for rock, do it for rap, do it for Kid, do it for Ice-T, do it just to do it. Fuck it, he's a bitch. He ain't gonna hit you back he's nuthin." Eminem also answers Everlast's suggestion in Whitey's Revenge to make this battle a physical one, " Fuck you, fat boy, drop the mic, let's fight...". There has not been any word on where this battle is headed, but I would not be surprised if it was heading for a Round 4, from the looks of things.

Cage

This rivalry has been going back ever since Eminem released The Slim Shady EP in 1998. Cage accused Eminem of stealing his style and his lyrics. Eminem denies this, but brings up the subject several times in The Slim Shady LP. For instance, in the song Role Model, he says "Bought Cage's tape opened it, and dubbed over it." He also unsults him in the song Drastic Measures, "I'm picking up Cage's sister early...", as well as in a freestyle (not sure about the name of it) "Went on stage and sprayed Cage with agent orange", refering to the title of one of Cage's song's, Agent Orange. In the same freestyle Em also says "Wiped my ass with his page is The Source...". Also, in a freestyle off Tony Touch's Power Cypha 3 - 50 MC's on CD 05, track 06, Eminem says: I write a rhyme a day, So it's no wonder how come your whole album is soundin like a bunch of shit that I would say [Then Em screams "CAGE!!"]. Cage was not prepared to just take these insults, and began by dissing Eminem in this song called And So Kiddies... Cage mentions "Tired rhyme styles from Detroit, Michigan" reffering to Eminem's heavy MTV rotation. He also insults Eminem's alter ego Slim Shady, calling him Bitch Lady. He has released a freestyle called "Bitch Lady" too, which is almost impossible to get your hands on. When asked in an interview with HipHopSite.com how the rivalry began and where it curently stood, cage said "It started because he is a bitch ass nigga! Right now it stands with me kicking in his fucking face, real horrorshow, I ain't lettin' all the shit he said slide." Cage also rips into Em on "Illest four letter word." Here are the Em dissing lines: I heard some blonde bitch Hwalking through New York looking for Cage, I'll stab you in the face, ten times in the same place. Lace your little infant 'til you thinking different, When in the same building on the street lift you off your feet. The illest four letter word in the world, supporter, Rhyme slaughter, the listener to death save the gun for the Blonde Ambition, fell off the Christian wagon. Your systems saggin biting my shit and I'm laughing, I can freak simple shit and sell records but I don't. I write the illest shit that cause fans to enter bitin' zones, Keep your guards by your guard you showing cards on the low. See a man gotta deal, now y'all look just like 'Cro (Necro), all you schizophrenics need help with reality. Kill your two little personalities, shark getting snuck a salary, Observe gravity pullin ya in to earth gradually. You'll see you need a style I create to try and battle me. Cage has also released a new song called Still C.A.G.E., a parody of Dr. Dre's hit single Still D.R.E. from his new album Chronic 2001.
